How do plants help us understand our relationship to land and place? Join Maeve Bassett, our applied ethnobotanist and education director at the Broad Art Museum, for an immersive tour exploring the politics of maps and land through We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment. Registration is recommended.

This gallery tour is part of our ongoing Deep-Rooted collaboration with the Broad Art Museum, where art and plants intertwine in a conversation about the extraordinary ways our natural world has influenced art and human societies throughout history.

This event is offered in connection with We Are This Land: Meditations on the Great American Experiment. On view at Broad Aug. 22, 2026–Mar. 14, 2027, We Are This Land brings together artists who invite us to reflect on our history, consider our present, and imagine brighter futures.
